This memoir is an explosive, no holds barred, take no prisoners, jaw-dropping, must-read-right-this-second, masterpiece! I laughed, I cried tears of tragedy — but, most of all, tears of joy and catharsis! I have been a friend of Cassandra Peterson for 30 years and I directed ELVIRA’S HAUNTED HILLS — so, sure, you might think I am biased or blowing smoke up her assets. NOT! I was blown away! Beyond my wildest dreams! Not only is Cassandra a brilliant writer, the stories she has to tell are edge-of-your seat riveting. It’s so compelling, you won’t be able to put it down. I recommend the audiobook so you can hear her tell her larger-than-life story directly to you in her own voice and delivery. But the book has great photos and is a must-have as well. I got BOTH! A few times I watched her before changing the channel again when the flick came on… and I remember she had a few funny segments. I found it truly inspirational . she rose above the bad experiences she went through some had me crying what some people did to her in her young years. But she rose above it all and didnt give in. Truly an amazing book to read especialy for women who have suffered abuse. This book is deffo a must have. I totaly loved the whole book. Like i said i couldnt put the book down . it will make you laugh and cry . and most of all ill say again truly inspirational. Its made me adore cassandra peterson aka elvira all the more.
